Dressed in unique attires, the fans backed national side looked impressive on day one of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series Vancouver Sevens.

The Gareth Baber coached side won all its pool games in grandeur fashion and have qualified for the Cup quarter final against Argentina.

Baber was happy with the overall performance of the team and encouraged the boys to give it all on day two of the Vancouver Sevens.

"I'm happy with the way the team played", he said.

"We played without our captain Jerry Tuwai and we did well.

"Our Kenya win just goes to show how determined the team is to go all the way".

The Welshman for the first time said that Fiji will win the Vancouver Sevens.

"I'm very confident", he told Sportsone.

"We will win the Vancouver Sevens".

Capitan Tuwai who picked up a shoulder injury against France was scratched form the Kenya game and was taken to the hospital for observation.

Baber said Tuwai will be evaluated and a decision on his availability would be made ahead of the Cup- quarter final against Argentina.

“Tuwai hurt his shoulder. He was taken to the hospital. We will take a decision on his availability once we hear back on the severity of his injury”.

HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series commentator Karl Te Nana couldn’t agree more with coach Gareth Baber, said Fiji really stood out in the pool stages and looks promising to win the Vancouver Sevens.

“Fiji has been on top of their game. They certainly look to be the team to beat”.
