Ponsonby Arrows win Janeman Cup

Janeman Cup winners, Ponsonby ArrowsJaneman Cup winners, Ponsonby ArrowsNew Zealand's Ponsonby Arrows team won the late Janeman Cup tournament today at the North Surrey Oval.


The debutants beat Flying Arrows Vancouver 1-0 in a thriller finale.

After a scoreless first half, Ponsonby scored the winner in the second half to lift the title.

Flying Arrows Masters won the Masters championship in a shootout against Lautoka Masters.

The inaugural Janeman Cup tournament was held in 2014 and was played between Flying Arrows Vancouver and Seattle Ba, the event has since grown over the last three years.

This year the tournament attracted more teams and drew a sizeable crowed.

Janeman's former Ba and nation teammate, Feroz Khan, who was a special guest presented the Janeman Cup to the winning teams.
