Canada Allstars ready for SWCCanada Allstars ready for SWCVANCOUVER All-stars don’t like being labeled as championship favorites for the Sanatan World Convention in Sacramento, USA at the weekend.

The team is made up of core Ba Master’s players who won the back to back (2017-2018) Masters League and would like to be seen as a contender.

And to add depth and the strength they've included a few marquee players.

Veteran player, Dan Ram, who was on S1 Sports Talkback Show on Monday, said the team has been preparing well, added with the players they have, they’re ready to yield a satisfying result after two failed attempts at the very tournament.

“We have a great team”, he said. “We can live with that contender label”.

He said it all comes down to teamwork and the desire to pitch in the talent for the common good of winning the championship.

“We were unlucky in 2014 in Sydney, Australia and 2016 in Auckland, New Zealand, this is our moment in time.

“We need to play for one another in order to win it all”.

Dan said the players have been putting in hard yards at training under coach Edwin Ruth, who is just as determined to win his first title both as a coach and player.

“Everyone is looking forward to the SWC with a lot optimism”.

Dan said the players need to be mindful of the donors and sponsor support, who like the management and fans are result oriented.

“It takes a lot of time, hard work and public funds to make tours of this magnitude possible”.

Vancouver Allstars have set aside Thursday evening for their presentations at the Holiday Inn Express before the team departs for USA on Friday.
