Tanoa followed its Premier League and Knockout title by taking the CAN - AM championship.

Veteran Salesh Mishra was the toast of his young gladiators, leading them to victory.

Mishra powered home a powerful header to break the deadlock of the contentious second half after both the teams were held 0-0 at the break.

Rizal Janiff and Ryan Chandra followed the suit as they bagged in a goal each in the latter stages of the game for the triumphant victory celebrations.

Manager Praveen Adrakar said the Tanoan's played with a lot fire in belly.

"Our style says it all", he said. "We played the best and silkiest football at the CAN-AM when most was at stake".

Adrakar said Tanoa is known for its brisk style — keeping possession with endless back-and-forth passes to stifle games.

"We won being true to our playing style, and by moving the ball the we way we moved it we knew how to take charge of the match,” a proud Adrakar said.

"What we do is difficult but we make it look easy".

Civic, Adrakar said gave them a good game in the first half but wilted to pressure in last quarter of the game.

Tanoa's Mike Gomez scooped the Most Valuable Player award for his fine form during the CAN-AM.
