Nath told Sportone the news sounded comical at the outset, later felt the stinger league should go ahead and spend the garnered funds on the unnecessary and declare broke.

"Let's all become the Pacific Cup patriarch", he said. "Get the FSLGV to tour New Zealand and spend for all the wrong reasons. It would be a proper waste of money".

"We hear every now and then of how dear the league holds its cash.

"Now let's jump on the bandwagon and support the far-fetched to blow it", Nath quipped.

He said the years of persuasion for increments on its many tournaments have proved futile added it’s only fitting the delegates give their support for a better waste of the funds.

Nath says the tour costs will wake the sleep for all the regrettable reasons.

"You would think the FSLGV would've utilized its funds on local soccer than you're dead wrong. It's as per say deprive their own for the showboating.

"The whole Pacific Cup participation is a shot”, said the avid former administrator turned fan, who still follows the local league some 20 years after he retired from the sport.

The 2014 Pacific Cup tournament tops 4 Fiji teams and a whole host of local teams from Australia and New Zealand. This year’s tournament will be played at the Sydney Football Stadium in Australia from November 26th to November 30th.
