Tanoa FC ready to quit FSLGV says MishraTanoa FC ready to quit FSLGV says MishraTanoa Football Club has joined the Richmond Summer Premier League and is seriously contemplating on quitting the Fijian Soccer League of Greater Vancouver.

TFC president Sailesh Mishra expressed his exhilaration about joining the high energy churning and a competitive league.

"We have joined the RSPL ", he said."We feel the league will offer us the competition that we seek. It will also enhance the standard of our game".

Mishra said the RSPL provides an excellent Thursday night fixtures that will certainly allow the team to participate in the weekend tournaments province-wide.

Hesaid the move stemmed after playing years of substandard football in the FSLGV.

"We just can't waste-away our future. We must get focused and recognize development.

"It's just not happening with the league we're in. There seems to be no vision and structure on the part of the league".

Mishrasays its alarming to see so many teams dropping out yearly andhe is afraid the league will ever be able to replenish them.

TFC is the oldest local club, formed in 1981, it has won a record number of championships between the now defunct Fiji Football Association of BC, and the FSLGV.
