And they're looking at the possibility of having Atish Kumar, the manager of Vancouver Albions to head the new association.

Jitesh Patel, a spokesman of the group told Sportsone the interests are mapping out a plan and will approach Kumar in the comming weeks.

"Kumar is a level headed man", he said. "He has the knowledge and the know how to run the Cricket house and is very likeable among the former members".

"We feel the closure of the NCL for obvious reasons is hurting avid Cricketers on the lowermaind.

"There's a lot of support for the new league. There're major sponsors lined up as well", said Patel.

He said the closure of the NCL stemmed after the naming of the All-Stars team, and other irregularities thatwere identified with the first year league and its president Ravi Lal.

"The people behind the new groupe are all former members of the NCL who didn't support the cronie league".

Patel says the defunct league started off with a lot hope and hype but as power infiltrated, the ambitious board soon embarked on a tyranny association.
