Nair elected new FSLGV boss

New FSLGV president, Nadraj NairNew FSLGV president, Nadraj NairNadraj Nair is the new president of the Fijian Soccer League of Greater Vancouver after being elected at the association's annual congress.

Nair, who has been the acting president since 2013 replaces Harry Gopal who did not seek a new term due to ill-health.

The 72 year -old will serve a two year term.

Nair's affinity and passion of the sport got him focused on administering football since 1975 and among the clubs he had the opportunity to be a part of are Lautoka's Press and Leopards Football Club's before emigrating to Canada.

In a 2013 Sportsone interview,Nair said he still had lot to offer for local sporting fraternity.

"I've a lot to offer", he said. "I'm hoping to stay for a bit longer".

And its that energy and the love for the sport that keeps the age defying Nair going.
