Nadi Master's striker Jan Ali: S1 File pic.Nadi Master's striker Jan Ali: S1 File pic.Nadi Masters is said to be furious over the decision by the Fijian Soccer League of Greater Vancouver to pick the MVP out of the hat last Sunday.

An insider of the association has revealed to Sportsone.

The source said the league has not only embarrassed the second nominee but the entire association and its fervent fans.

He said NM, on the behest of league named the players’ they believed were the joint winners of the tournament's coveted award.

“Iyer Arun and Nadeem Mohammed's weekend long performance certainly deserved plaudits and recognition”, said the insider.

“Instead of handing the trophy to the two deserving winners the league arbitrarily decided to pull a name out of the hat and that is sad".

The FSLGV had over the year’s left it to the winning team to nominate their MVP after criticisms of unfairness was labelled against them.

The FSLGV ruled out that their rule clearly stipulated against double nominations and a winner needed to be declared out of the hat.

“The rule they talked about is nowhere to be found in the FSLGV constitution”.

“The league made the rule on the go as they were just left in awe with Nadi’s unprecedented gesture, first in the history of Fijian soccer on the lower-mainland”.

The insider said while NM, is celebrating the 2016 Knockout Championship and their star midfielder Iyer Arun’s  new found fame, they're just as furious at the league for scooping to a new low during the awards presentation.

Attempts to get a comment from  Nadi Masters Association president Mun Reddy proved futile.

FSLGV is a joke, seriously how hard was it to just give the award to both the players and let them share it between them or simply let them deal. Rule that they so often talk about is mediocre
