Pacific Cup chairman, Jiten LalPacific Cup chairman, Jiten LalPACIFIC Cup chairman Jiten Lal says he isn't pleased with the comments of a top USA All Stars official on social media.

Vinny Goundar, an official, used US Fiji Times Facebook to vent his displeasure, saying 'Game is 11-11 we USA Allstars played 13- 11, it really sucks, and it hurts since we bring our talent young Fiji Indian boys from USA and played the final. Our boys were the best'.

His comment was on the post, headlined Referee Robs US All Stars of a victory in the 2017 Pacific Cup.

Lal said he is utterly disappointed with Goundar's comment on the post that claimed, Soccer fans from around the world have cried foul over the unfair handling by the referee during the 2017 Pacific Cup in Auckland between USA All Stars and NZFFI'.

"The statement don't augur well with the Pacific Cup and as hosts we provided the best match officials during the tournament and one of Oceania's top referee officiated the grand finale", he said.

"Nick Waldron is one of the best referee in New Zealand.

He was the referee for Fiji- Estonia international friendly earlier in the month in Fiji.

The Facebook post further states, 'Frustrations and poor control by the referees throughout the Pacific Cup'.

"No official complaints regarding the referees or assistant referees was lodged. All the teams were happy including the USA All Stars".

Lal said he will seek an explanation from the USA Sports Commission on the statement.

"The claim is very damaging, and we need an explanation", said Lal.

NZFFI beat USA All Stars 2-1 to win the Pacific Cup at Bill McKinley Park in Auckland, New Zealand last Sunday.
