NEW ZEALAND Nadro won the Sanatan World Cup Masters final beating Vancouver All-stars 5-4 in the shootout at the Granite Regional Park, USA.
The teams resorted to penalty kicks after playing to a stalemate at end of the regulation and extra time.
New Zealand Nadro hit target scoring all five spot kicks, while Vancouver All-stars’ Dan Ram shot wide.
Vancouver All-stars missed a few good sitters in both the halves. The final loss was their first, after having kept a clean record leading up to the final game.
New Zealand Nadro celebrated the victory in a stunning scene as players sang hymns before manager Anand Kumar praised the efforts of his team, said he was ecstatic about the victory.
“My boys got the win and got cup in USA”, he said.
“We are taking the cup all the way to Now Zealand”.
New Zealand Nadro won the perennial championship back to back, 2016 in Auckland, New Zealand and USA 2018.
