Flag clad Fijians gave Fiji 7s a raucous welcome during their opening game against Wales in the HSBC Vancouver Sevens at the B C Place Stadium this morning.
The fans sang to the tune of 'Toso Viti Toso' at every rush for the try-end and en-route helped them to a 34-19 win.
Fiji didn't disappoint as they took the lead 27-7 at the break with a double try to Kalione Nasoko and one each to Alivereti Veitokani and Mesulame Kunavula.
Fiji then stepped on the throttle in the second half to score 10 points, Nemani Nagusa and Waisea Nacuqu scored a brace.
Luke Morgani and Ben Roach scored for a total of 12 points.
Fiji plays Samoa in its second game.
