Sports personalities Christmas messageSports personalities Christmas messageCHRISTMAS is always a glorious time for the Fijian sporting personalities around the globe.

It’s time- off from their dedicated sports, and spending time with families.

While athletes from various sports look forward to spending time with families and friends, it’s the last few days before Christmas that seems to be chaotic.

And that shopping, finding that ideal gifts could be excruciating but sharing has been a tradition.

Tevita Waranivalu, Fiji’s Footballer of the Year has a few errands to attend to otherwise ready to call it Christmas.

Waranivalu will spend the whole day with his family and extended families.

“It’s about coming together to celebrate.”

Waranivalu has a message to aspiring footballers that "all the best in whatever you do in faith and humility you will always succeed".

“Wishing everyone Merry Christmas and Happy New Years.”

Rewa Football Association Nazeel Buksh wished district fans and football supporters around the globe a Happy Holiday.

“As the year comes to a close and football takes a well-deserved break, I want to take this opportunity to extend my heartfelt gratitude to each of you for your unwavering support throughout 2024.”

“May it be filled with joy, love, and cherished moments with your loved ones,” said the 2024 Football Administrator of the Year.

Josua ‘The Bus’ Tuisova, who plays Racing 92 in France's Top 14., posted his Christmas plans, one that will be spent with family and friends.

“Home is where the heart is, Christmas is time to reflect on the good times,” he said.

“May the Christmas Season bring happiness and joy to you and your family.

“The gift of love. The gift of peace. The gift of happiness. May all these be yours at Christmas.”

Golfer Ashneel Raj says all things shopping, particularly finding gifts took a chunk of his time but is happy he’s got it all done, a first as in many years.

“I’m not just yet a professional golfer, no I’m not, not playing for money, well just yet but I still had to buy gifts for family and friends on a thin budget”, he said.

“It doesn't have to be a crazy expensive gift.

“It’s just a thought that matters”.

And as the profound “spirit” of Christmas takes hold, Christians and non-believers alike will come together and celebrate this annual holiday through festive parties, gift-exchange, and get-togethers around the world.

Happy holidays to the readers of Sportsone.
