Surrey Five ready to rockSurrey Five ready to rockVANCOUVER sevens fans are getting all psyched up for the Canada Sevens at the weekend.

And among them are the Surrey Five, the ‘crowd pleasers’ are planning on a bigger show of support for the Fijian men’s 7s team.

Brandon Nair, Nawal Nair, Avi Kumar, Justin Singh and Vinny Reddy promise to rock the audience at the BC Place Stadium again this year.

The group created quite the stir last year, leading a wagon of fans in the stands and through the concourse, playing drums, singing and showing off their signature dance moves.

“We just can’t wait, lets go bring it on”, said Brandon Nair, the team leader.

He said this year’s show will be more spectacular, he urges Fijians to join them and make noise.

Albeit Fiji’s 29-24 overtime loss to South Africa in the LA 7s, the group is optimistic about this weekend’s tournament.

“Fiji lost the LA 7s in overtime, that don’t mean they will not give their all. The team will bounce back”.

“We just need to do our part, make the know we have their backs”.

Nair said Fijians need to keep believing in the team and good things will happen at the weekend.
