New Zealand based, popular Vancouver singer, FoxNew Zealand based, popular Vancouver singer, FoxFOR singer Sonu Fox, holiday season is all about kick back, relax and enjoy the moment.

But the two week Vancouver vocation turned out anything but.

The popular singer was talked into live performance gig for his audience.

“I was on holiday, I think, up until I was made to put my vocals to work,” said Fox.

If music be the food of love, play on, Fox said, replicating William Shakespeare's play “Twelfth Night”, quote.

Vancouver gig

Fox was a regular at Vancouver’s Wild Coyotes on South West Marine Drive between 1999-2001.

“I started playing with Phil Bonofice in 1999 to 2001 ,a jazz musician in Vancouver, he is now based in New Zealand.”

“Fun times, doing both English and Bollywood numbers.

“And I did regular shows in Vancouver, with a few of my mates, and that’s where loyalty comes,” he said.

New Zealand relocation

Fox relocated to Auckland, New Zealand more than a decade ago, leaving behind a huge audience and following and on trips back, he hits out at various venues.

"It's on demand," said Fox. "As an artist you don't disappoint, that is rule of the industry."

With his relocation, he has put his passion of music on the back burner as full-time work makes it hard to continue on with the gig.

Fox is the general manager with one of New Zealand’s biggest chemical companies the DGL Chemicals.

He said time is of an essence, with a young family and work, it is hard to find that balance.

“Music is the food of love, I would love to continue on but circumstances have it."

Fox will entertain his fans for a few more day before he resets his holiday plans on travelling places.
