SABETO FC is determined to replicate its championship-winning 2023 run at this year’s NAFSA-CANAM tournament.
To strengthen its campaign, the side has reinforced its squad with the additions of Masood Habibullah, Ernesto Velasquez Arteaga, Isaac Kyei, and David Akinsola.
Their first test will be a stern one, facing Tanoa FC, a formidable local side stacked with quality footballers.
Veteran goalkeeper Wasim Khan said the team is upbeat and ready for the challenge ahead.
“We have been training hard for the biggest tournament in North America,” Khan told S1.
“NAFSA-CANAM always brings out the best in teams, and everyone is well prepared for the weekend.”
Khan said the competition will be fierce, but Sabeto FC is equally focused on its own ambitions.
“Stakes are high during big events, and every team will be out to claim the championship.
“We’ll give our all. With the experience we already have, and the additions of Masood, Ernesto, Isaac, and David, we’re leaving no stone unturned,” he said.
