Surrey Stars retain Jayden-Jordan Memorial Cup Title

THE Surrey Stars have successfully defended their Jayden-Jordan Memorial Cup crown with a 3-1 victory over Hakwa FC, in a spirited final.

Arian Naidu was the star of the show, netting a brilliant brace, while Fahim Dean added a goal to seal the win.

The Stars had kept a low profile in the lead-up to the tournament, mindful of the tough competition, but rose to the occasion when it mattered most.

Coach Mohammed Iqbal praised his players for their discipline and execution.

“We would like to acknowledge the tournament hosts for organizing a weekend of competitive football and for the hospitality extended to teams and spectators,” Iqbal said.

“Our back-to-back championships are owed to unity and hard work.”

Iqbal also commended the steady growth of the Jayden-Jordan Memorial Tournament, calling on the football community to continue supporting it.

“I can’t thank our supporters, players, and hosts enough for making the weekend such a fun-filled event,” he added.
