That was evident last night as many Nadi FC legends gathered in Nadi to celebrate an evening of togetherness, memories, and lifelong friendship.
The reunion brought back stories of fierce battles on the field, unforgettable victories, and the strong bond that continues to unite former players long after their playing days are over.
Savenaca Waqa, Rusiate Waqan, Manu Pokar, Peter Dean, Kaitani Sosi, George Hicks, Seremaiya Tale and Samuel Lutumailagi shared football memories, reflecting on the glory years of the district under respected presidents, dedicated coaches and hardworking managers.
The former players spoke passionately about the pride of wearing the Nadi jersey and the discipline, commitment and unity that helped shape one of Fiji’s most successful football districts.
There were moments of laughter as old teammates recalled tough training sessions, dramatic matches and after games parties that remain etched in their memories decades later.
Many also acknowledged the sacrifices made by families, supporters and administrators who stood behind the team during its most successful years.
