FORMER Fijian men’s 7s captain Kolione Nasoko and Rugby Canada Hall of Fame Gareth Rees will be the guests for the Fiji 7s fundraiser.
Vancouver 7s Fiji Fan Base, the hosts of the event made the announcement yesterday.
Nasoko who is back training with the team following his surgery to repair anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is yet to make his full return on the team.
He tore is ligament during the Vancouver Sevens last year.
Nasoko will be joined by Gareth Rees, a Canadian Rugby Hall of Fame.
Rees, a former Canadian international rugby union footballer played at fly-half and full back positions.
He played for Wasps and Harlequins in the English Premiership.
Rees received arguably his greatest honour with induction to the IRB Hall of Fame in 2011.
All proceeds from the Saturday night event will be handed to the Fijian men’s 7s players and management during the Vancouver Sevens in March.
The fan club raised about $9000 (FJ$14,000) through a similar fundraiser last year.
