Canadian Fijian and national Fiji football team defender Nicholas Prasad has signed a one year deal with Bischofswerdaer FV 08 of the Bundesliga.
The 24 year old will make his club debut in the coming weeks.
Nicholas played for FC Tulsa last year, a tier two division of the American Professional League , where he had been a standout.
He had been an unrestricted free agent following his national Fiji team hiatus.
“I sighed at the beginning of the year, I’m happy the club had confidence in my abilities, it’s rare in Germany especially for a player from Fiji and Canada”, he told Sportsone today
Nicholas said he had injured his ankle on individual training before his new signing and had to rest but now he is healthy and will report to full team training on Monday, next week.
“I will go through the medical and fitness test next week and hope I get all clear to make the debut, I’m looking forward to the competition”.
Nicholas said he would love to represent Fiji again if he is invited by the new head coach, Flemming Mark Serritslev.
“It is always an honor to represent Fiji, home away from home”.
