Ba’s new president calls for unity

New BAFA, president Amzad Sunny KhanBA Football Association president Amzad Sunny Khan rallied support for the country’s most storied soccer district.

Khan took over the leadership on the behest of Fiji Football Association, who recognized irreconcilable differences between the past board, the sponsors, and stakeholders.

Described as Ba ‘man at heart’, Khan is a successful businessman who runs Dai-ichi (West) company out of Lautoka.

His immediate plan is to formalize a working committee, upend and restructure finances and bridge relationships with the country’s strongest fan base.

“Ba is a brand, no less, we need to take a professional approach on how we do things,” said Khan.

He said among other things, unity, players welfare and garnering financial support from its long standing and new sponsors is his priority.

“I intended to be that peace bridge, if you will, for the Ba football family, the top down, players and management”.

“It is important for us to show that we can all come together at our lowest ebb and rise and shine again.

“We are after all football giants of the country, that’s some respect in itself.”

Khan reassures the district fans to hold faith through the transition period ‘as good things come with patience’.
