THE FANCA Muslim Sports organization is looking to the future with a lot of optimism.
Registered with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the primary objective is to organize sporting events and help with community development projects.
President Muzzamil Nabi said the registration is a victory for those that value parity, commitment, competition, integrity and inclusiveness.
“FMS is duty bound to serve with a purpose,” said Nabi.
“Sports is a universal language with the power to bring people together.
“With participation we will build a robust and rugged society, that is our goal.”
Documents obtained by Sportsone confirms FANCA Muslim Sports’ registration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Fiji.
Nabi said it would be against the societies act for any other organization to use FANCA as it would infringe with the naming act.
FANCA Federation is another sporting body with a similar primary name.
The federation hosts biennial football tournament.
“We are rightful owners of the FANCA name, and that is all to it,” Nabi said.
FANCA Muslim Sports will host the first FANCA Champions League tournament at the Prince Charles Park in Nadi between 26-29 October.
