Fiji men’s 7s team settle in well, treated to a dinner

FIJI men’s sevens team has had good runs in the last few days given it’s winter conditions in Vancouver.

Low temperatures and rain didn’t deter players enthusiasm as they used the length of the park at the PNE grounds.

The players worked on drills, set pieces and strength and conditioning.

Coach Osea Kolinisau looked upbeat, he let the players soak in the conditions and share some light moments during the training.

Kolinisau ran instructions and the players responded well.

The men’s and women’s teams were later treated to a dinner at an upscale Vancouver eatery, Wings on West Pender.

Fiji’s Honorary Consul of Canada Bobby Naicker was the host.

Naicker has a reputation for hosting the Fiji teams since the inaugural HSBC SVNS event in 2016.

A few invitees were in the audience, who mingled with players and management.

Snow isn’t much of a problem for Fiji men’s 7s players, who will play indoors at the BC.Place Stadium in Vancouver.
