A month after lifting the Inter District Championship title, Rewa diehards in Vancouver gathered last night to celebrate the achievement in true red-clad style.
The passionate supporters honoured their former district men with a raised toast, reliving the pride and emotion of that memorable triumph.
Rewa had edged Ba 1–0 at the new 4R Stadium, a fitting christening victory on Ba’s own home turf.
Rewa’s 1972 IDC-winning star and Fijian football legend Sylvester Joseph took the celebrants through the district’s rich history, reminding supporters that what Ba had been in the past, Rewa now represents for the future.
“We often hear about records, but it’s no small feat for Rewa to win the IDC on Ba’s turf,” he said.
Joseph’s reflections drew nods and applause from the room, as many in attendance had lived through the decades-long rivalry between the two districts.
For them, Rewa’s latest triumph was more than a title, it was a moment of arrival, a turning of the tide they had long hoped to witness.

The night carried on with chants, laughter echoing through the hall.
Supporters shared stories of past tournaments, heroes of old, and the new generation now carrying the district’s legacy with pride.
For the Rewa faithful in Vancouver, the celebration was not just about looking back, but about embracing what lies ahead, a future they believe burns brighter than ever in the delta’s traditional red.
Long-time supporter Praveen Pratap put it best.
“This win wasn’t just for Rewa. It was for every fan who carried the colours with them, no matter how far from home.”
And with that, a winning cake iced boldly in red and white was cut and shared among the faithful.
