Ba legend Vakatalesau questions team unity ahead of Fiji FACT

BA football legend Osea Vakatalesau has raised concerns about the state of the Men in Black ahead of the upcoming Fiji FACT tournament in Labasa, questioning the team’s unity and coaching setup.

In a strongly worded social media post, Vakatalesau said success cannot be achieved through financial resources alone, directing a message to Ba Football Association president Praneel Dayal.

“Don’t ever think that money can buy victory. It takes hard work, sacrifice and unity to achieve success,” Vakatalesau wrote.

The former Ba star said his observations of the team’s training sessions left him concerned about the level of togetherness within the squad.

“Observing the team training, it’s clear that unity is vital for success, more so than the number of players. Based on the training, this team appears to be lacking in unity,” he said.

Vakatalesau also questioned whether Ba has the right leadership on the technical bench to build a championship-winning side.

“I don’t think they have the right coach to form a winning team,” he added.

His comments come as Ba prepares for the Fiji FACT tournament in Labasa, with expectations high for one of Fiji football’s most successful districts.

The remarks are likely to spark debate among supporters and officials as the team looks to regain its dominance on the national stage.
