Fiji 7s fans in Vancouver raise players fundsFIJI 7s fans are encouraged to help fund-raise for the Fiji Airways Fiji 7s team ahead of the Canada Sevens in March.

Petaia Usakilakeba, who is heading the Friday, February 22nd, dinner and dance for Fiji 7s team, is urging sevens fervent to support them by purchasing the tickets for the fun filled night.

“Every dollar raised will go towards the players on the team”, he said.

Petaia says Fijians have made the biggest backdrop at the BC Place Stadium in the last three years’ running of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series and as fans they’re proud about their sporting identity.

“We are all proud about our national sport, sevens rugby is what has given us Fijians the sporting identity. A little cash in hand will go a long way for the men who continue to give us all the more  reason to converge at BC Place Stadium in March.

“It’s more of an appreciation gift when they are in Vancouver”.

Petaia said he is expecting a sellout for the event that is billeted for the Khanna Banquet Hall in Surrey.

“Come tuck in, dance to the tune of great music and enjoy the night the Fijian style.

“Help us help the players with our kind monetary gift”, Petaia said.
